Karen Weekender Bag

Small Weekender with Striped Variation

This is a really useful bag with lots of pockets and both handles or shoulder strap. It would be good as an overnight bag, a gym bag or a bag for all the baby care stuff. It has an elasticated pocket at each end on the outside great for car keys, gloves, tissues or emergency chocolate. Inside it has two large zipped pockets and a very spacious interior.

We have done two versions of this bag the striped version is made using the 'quilt as you go' technique and we have used a plain contrast fabric to enhance the patterned fabric. The two tone version is just as nice and allows you to mix and match fabrics.

We have used 'bag furniture' rings, D-rings and clips because we like the professional finish they give but they are optional and can be omitted. The rings we have used on the Orange and Pink two tone bag are actually wooden curtain rings from a DIY store, we loved this quirky use of them.

Approx. 27cm High 30 cm Wide and 18cm Deep at the base.
